Carpet Binding, Surging, Taping, and Fringing - We will put a bound edge on newly purchased or leftover carpeting to make up small mats or larger area rugs. In addition to binding, we can serge (a thicker rope like finish) tape (a wider band finish very popular among decorators) and fringe your carpet.

Finishing Trims and Accessories - In order to properly finish your project, you may require transitional moldings made from such materials as metal, wood, laminate, vinyl or ceramic. Some examples would be t-moulds, reducer strips and end pieces.

Furniture and Appliances - Charges for removing and replacing your furniture are by the room and is dependant on the room’s furnishings. Appliances are charged by the piece as are certain items like pianos, dishwashers and toilets.

Delivery and Trip Charges - Some products ordered may have associated shipping and handling charges. These may be in addition to material costs. Please ask if any of these charges apply to your situation.

Patching and Leveling - Your floor may require patching to smooth out rough surfaces or fill in holes or gaps. Some concrete floors need to be leveled in order to install new materials.

Removal and Dumping of Existing Flooring - To remove and dispose of old carpeting and underlay, rip out ceramic or hardwood flooring, vinyl sheet goods or tile products and their underlay, floating floors and trim pieces such as baseboards and quarter round. 

Repairs and Minimum Charges - We can repair or mend damaged flooring in numerous ways. Charges would depend on the amount of labour involved, extra material required and the type of flooring to be fixed. Minimum charged by the square foot or square yard.

Screwing Down Floors - For a fee, we can eliminate those annoying squeaks in your sub floor. Do this before you install your new carpeting, hardwood, ceramic or floating floor. You’ll be glad you did.

Stair and Upholstery Charges - Different stair types may call for extra time and labour to complete properly. While there are minimal charges for boxed stairs, more intricate labour is required to do curved or open back stairs and spindle work on stairs or in hallways.

Sub Floors - Your original sub floor may need to be replaced or reinforced with an additional sub floor. Some types of flooring require their own underlayment, specific to that particular floor’s requirements for performance. 

Underlay - We will always recommend buying our best underlay for your carpet or area rug. Where it is not already included, there may be a small charge to upgrade your pad.

Written Quotes and Appraisals - For a fee we can provide you with a written quote for future purchases, dependant on the detail involved. We can also give written appraisals for your hand knotted area rugs. This is very valuable for protecting your investment in the years ahead, should something happen to your rug.
